View Full Version : Fear the Cavalry Charge!

Having spent the last hour reading up on the changes the patch has made I was right it noticing the cavalry were much stronger and the spearman weaker.................WOW! now we can all fear those mounted warriors as it should have been from the beginning. I used to feel pretty confident with a couple of cheap spearmen facing a cavalry charge but now I'm not so sure. I think it is now right that we should fear the charge of a few ton of horse meat going at 30 m.p.h..........................AWESOME!!!
Question: Does the patch changes fighting abilities for cavalry or spear units? Because from what I have read I thought that the only thing changed are unit costs.

Well according to the information I have gathered it appears the cavalry units have been tweaked to improve the fighting abilities and the cheap spearman reduced slighlty. This way up the issues put forward on spear being too stonf agaimst sword and mounted. I trust the forum members will correct me if I am wrong!

Cav now have a much better cahnce of pushing back spears. A man that is pushed back is more likely to get killed in the next round of combat.

The whole battle tactics have now suddenely changed with the cavalary now proving to be a force to be reckoned with!
Well, I have not yet loaded the patch, but if that is so then I agree with Fearless...AWESOME!!!
