Hey there guys its me again... yeah i know i ask alot of questions but meh i need ALOT of answers:book: hehehe:sweatdrop:

Anyway i'd like to know....

1) Do FM members still get names such as "the great" or "the mighty" etc in EB?

2) Playing as Romani where can i get archers? i'm still in the camillian era.

3) When do you guys recon is the best time to wage a war with carthage? i ask coz i want them to put a decent fight where i'd actually have to think about how to win^_^ at the moment carthage seems to have 3x my army size but my legions are well experienced.

4) How do i get the AI to attack me relentlessly? heh i'm getting bored and would like a battle or so every turn if possible.. somehow i find peace tad boring:wall:

Thanks again guys!

1. Yes.
2. Mercenaries, as far as I know.
3. Whenever you're ready.
4. Piss off all of your neighbors.

Well i'm already ready to take on carthage.... but its only 269 BC still too early in the game to start massacering a real "faction" all this time i kept myself bussy with rebels and independent cities but now almost all of italia is mine only patavium left.. Aedui does have a strong army but i dont want to destroy their armies since it won't be much of a challenge if i kill them off now. Meh i though since i'm playing at VH/M the bonus the AI gets would help it boost their military machine.

crush that army now. It would be prudent to do so. They get a bonus as you said, it wont be that hard of a blow.

You've got a point.... but my army has just conquered Bononia and it had been relatively weakened... not yet strong enough to take on the Aedui stronghold of Medolianum filled with almost a full stack. that is not until i retrain my legions., it'd be a waste seing the experience they accumulated.

2. Mercenaries as said or foreign natives. You get toxotai from the Greeks and Sotaroas from the Celts.

3. If you don't want to fight them yet, you will have to impose some rules on yourself if you want to keep it a... challenge. It's really up to yourself.

4. Wow, you're like the opposite of me! I don't want peace all the time, of course, but just a little peace now and then would be nice. As it is, my Pontic campaign has crawled to an almost-halt because of all the battles I have to fight against the AS. But for what it's worth, take one of their settlements and you'll have all the fighting you could wish for. Take two and they'll be coming for you with armed babies as well.

2-> i think there some archers on Sardinia you can get with a low level regional barrack. or get celtic archers in northern italy, not to mention hellenic archers in southern italy

I already have control of southern italy... What do i need to do to get Hellenic archers? currently Taras is constructing a lv1 type government and i also plan to do the same for Rhegion.

You should build a type 3 gov't, as you wont be able to recruit factional troops there until the marian reforms. When you have the type 3, build regional barracks.

i like them very much. against factions with less armored infantery you could send an army of 20 Dorkim Shardanim cohorts to defeat them.. :2thumbsup:

btw. they are very cheap
