View Full Version : To keep the peace- A Mini Mafia.
Soldiers,
As you know, the Republic of Gahistan has fallen into civil war. With various rebel factions fighting loyalists, and reports of human rights abuses, your company were inserted 3 days ago to keep the peace in the capital. I am sorry to hear that you were attacked and lost most of your company, save the 7 of you. We are sending a helicopter to evac you out of the area, however, we have recieved reports from our intelligence that there is in fact an insurgent hiding among you, he must have slipped in with the already multi-national troops.
We cannot send support if this man remains alive, out of concerns for the safety of you and the entire U.N. Find him. Kill him. Let me know when this occurs.

My breakout Mafia game.
Rules and roles:
1. The Insurgent, chosen at random, must stay alive. He can win if he kills all other peacekeepers or stays alive by the time the helicopter shows up.
2. The peacekeepers are the rest of the players, they must find the Insurgent and execute him. A special role among you is included.
3. The Helicopter will arrive in when 2 players are left. Exactly. Peacekeepers will now be under some pressure to get the insurgent.
4. I will create a special write up should the insurgent be killed before the helicopter arrives.
5. PM's from myself or any player may NOT be quoted.
6. The peacekeeper with the role may reveal his ability if he chooses, but until then, this ability will only be known by me.
7. No editing to change votes. Change your vote in a new post.
8. Vote: No Lynch will only be allowed once for each player.

The soldiers looked at one another, in suspicion, Shlin broke the silence. "Well, we are still in uniform, we must keep order maintained. Therefore, I believe we should vote to find the insurgent."
YLC agreed. "Yes, tonight, we cast votes. The one voted will be executed. We will meet back here in 5 minutes, gentlemen, get your vote ready."
And so they departed, each contemplating their suspicions.
And so, it has begun.

Its called not having an internet connection at home and only being able to access when I can sneak into the library...
The peacekeepers assembled that night, each announcing their vote and suspicions. When everyone had spoken, El Diablo finalized the votes.
"The person with the most votes is......myself." his face slowly lost color, "And.....FactionHeir?"
The group gasped, a double execution? All in one night? Shlin, the last to vote, spoke up. "There's got to be only one insurgent, and we have two men facing death. I say we vote again, between the two."
Aries and Quintus protested, but the rest of the group agreed. Shlin announced, "We will meet back here with one vote, El Diablo or FactionHeir"
"Can we vote?" FactionHeir asked.
"Why would we let those facing execution vote? No." Aries shouted.
So the men departed, leaving El Diablo and FactionHeir.
Tie breaker! Vote again, but, you can only vote for El Diablo or FactionHeir

Corporal Yoyoma raised his U.N. Helmet a bit and scratched his head, maybe he should have spent those years in College like his dad had wanted, instead of joining the military. At least he got to work for the U.N. as a peace keeper... they seemed to do good work, but this whole thing was confusing him.

I am not sure if I can post the original role pm I got (because of the rules) but it shows that not only was I town, I was the top ranked town soilder. When we got re-randomized I was "demoted" to a normal solider. So any calls you make about me and YLC being mafia are unknown to me.
Similarly I am not overly worried as the first round lynch actually happens every game (at about the same time as well). Someone has to bite the bullet, and I can accept that it maybe my turn.
But, I am definatly not scum.

the fact that your trying the cover up that you and ylc were mafia is worrying, because swedish fish send 5 pm's to the goodies, you and ylc werent on that list (suspicous no?) so if not for me telling him to randomize again you may well be dead already :inquisitive:

but all over whelming evidence against you aside, this is pretty much random voting, so if you vote for me, with no other evidence to go by i should instinctly vote for you, regardless of what gimics you say to attempt to change this...

You are part of the remaining peacekeeper[b] force. And, as highest ranking officer, your orders are final. Therefore, if it so occurs that three of you remain, you may choose one person to execute on the spot. This will be the last line of defence. You may also choose to interrogate one person of your choice to reveal their alliegance. Use any means necessary.

Roles were re-randomized due to that problem. Therefore, it could be any on of you.

Corporal Yoyoma looked around at the other troops. They seem to all be milling about at this point, waiting for the final judgment.
The day had grown long, and the terrain of Gahistan reminded him vaguely of the home he left behind. Back on his Uncle's farm, they would be planting, and the geese would be running around, like guard dogs. He never liked those geese.
His thoughts trailed to the girl he had left behind, with her long dark hair and golden eyes. She had fallen for him when he was a cello player, before he had joined the military. Perhaps she was with some else now? But surely she wasn't. His fingers caressed the couple of letters he had from her.
I'm sorry guys, logistics problems and all......write up should be around when I think of ideas.....
