View Full Version : Hannibal Lives!

So I'm doing quite well as Baktria (finally) and I sent out some agents to see how things are going elsewhere. No sooner does my spy get to Italy then he runs smack into Hannibal Barca, age 25 in 220 BCE. That's almost exactly the right age!

My question- is this a new feature in 1.1, or just totally random coolness?

Edit: Here is the savegame for anyone who's interested. EB 1.1 with the 4 Permanent Fixes from Bovis thread and the Alex.exe with trivial script mod from Maksimus' thread (the first download). The save is for Baktria, not Carthage or Rome, on M\M.

Well, that's both random and totally cool.

P.S. I'm trying to post the screenie directly instead of as a link. Any hints?

Thanks Foot.

Every time I have to fight the Romani, they always have a Character named Publius Cornelius Scipio. It's 225 BCE, and my enemies, the Romani, had such a character before I killed him and most of Roman Italia

You're most welcome! As for adding the balloon to your sig, just go to User CP, edit signature and type :(balloon2):, without the left and right parenthesis.

Here's an update on good ol' Han. He's been moving around the south of Italy for 20 years now and has only taken Rhegium.

well, if this occures from bottom up, not the historical other-way-round, then carthage shall triumph.....eventually.:clown:

You know, you should definitely do an AAR on this, if you don't mind all that extra work. I would give you another balloon for that - a valuable gift considering the current rates of inflation of the world currencies~:).

Anyway, I have heard that it is possible to take control of another faction (via console unless I am mistaken) during a campaign. Is that true? 'Cause then you could maybe even take control of the Romani in one savegame of the campaign and keep on playing Baktria in another!

Ok, I'll switch over to the Carthaginians and have a go at Rome. Actually, this should be good, as the Romans have had the polybian reform and their army compositions are well sorted. I'll do up an AAR as well. Not today.
