FM question?

Ok i just got a candidate for adoption notice but this guy has only 2 name parts compared to the usual 3 like Lucius-Cornelius-Scipio. Is this a bug or are their FM that have only 2 name parts?

I'm really considering adopting him since he's only 26 years old with Sharp/Charismatic/Vigorous although he's a plebian he's name is Gaius Octavius wich is cool! i get someone from the Gens Octavia early on the game, yay a family line of Augustus^_^

The Octavians don't have cognomina.

The family wasn't that large (probably only two branches). The only one I know of with a cognomen would be Gnaeus Octavius Rufus, who was Quaestor sometimes between 254 BC and 230 BC. Augustus is sometimes called Thurinus or Kaipias.

Nah i decided not to... the engine is bombarding me with candidates for adoption Lol but i don't it., i prefer it that my family tree contains members of pure blood decent from the partriarch.

You're free to do that, but that is kind of opposite of what EB is designed to do. You get tons of adoptions and marriages at the beginning so that you have a variety of names and families to better represent the fact that Roma didn't have a "family line".

Well i would accept the marriage proposals if the candidate was indeed from a worth house something in par with gens cornelius something like Gens julia would be nice as well.
