Now THAT is a horde!

Well, we begged to have the Golden Horde be more of a power and, holy sh*t, it is! When they appeared in my new campaign, my jaw dropped. For the first time, I felt as if Europe might actually be threatened. Cool.

It's now 50 years after their arrival and they are still going strong, tho it looks as if the West will survive, after all.

It may be cool, but it sucks when you're playing russians... they already have a pretty had time having no real large income provinces (as far as I noticed) in the beginning, they can only be played in high, just a decade or so before the savages turn up...

Good point. In my game, the Byzantines took the brunt of the horde. As early Russians, I guess you'd have to take Lithuania, Livonia and Sweden. Those are all good money makers. Can't remember, maybe there are too many rebels in those provinces to take very quickly. If that's the case, I feel your pain, Mithrandir. I do wonder how Boyers will do against Mongols. They seem to be excellent cavalry.
