Finally - proof positive that my analysis of Bloomberg is spot on.

I believe that people like Bloomberg, Hillary, Schwarzenegger, Putin, Berlusconi and Mugabe are people with the same personalities in different environments. I believe that all of these people would kill anyone or do anything to stay in power. The reason for the disparity in their actions is simply due to the reality that an iron hand only works for some of them.

Irrespective of the fact that the people of New York voted for terms limits TWICE in 1993 and 1996, the city council has decided that they will allow themselves to run again this year for third terms "because the economy is bad".

Get this megalomaniacal scum out of office irrespective of the ideology that they pretend to have. These are the wolves in sheeps clothing that our constitutions was drafted to shield us against. Stop them in their tracks.

You're joking right? Saying that Hillary would do anything to stay in power is fine, but comparing her to Mugabe, Putin, etc? That's low Tuff.

And yes, Bloomberg should learn to play by the rules.

I think Tuff is not that far off. All off them would do anything they can to stay in power. It just happens to be that Hillary has fewer options in her arsenal than Mugabe or Putin.

Desperate measures must be taken against the Vast Right Wing Conspiracy. You should know that.

Also, you should look into how the Clinton's conducted themselves in Arkansas. Murder might already be under her belt... im not saying they did or they didn't, im just saying... ~;)

I don't think that any of them have similar personalities to Hitler. I believe that Hitler's vision was warped but ideological - purity, vegetarianism, non-smoking, etc. I think that the personalities of the names mentioned have only themselves as their highest purpose and they use various ideologies as necessary to keep themselves aggrandized. Very different personality types but both massively damaging and dangerous.

Ok, thanks for the clarification. In what way, then, is Bloomberg 'scum'. What is scum, and why is he it?

He is heavy handed and purely self interested. He has no regard for the opinions of other people or the rules of the game that exist to protect us from tyranny. He is callous with life, people and anything else valued by most normal people beyond the material.

Lots of little things about him have annihilated any positive opinion of him that I have harbored early on.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't he pretty popular in NYC? IIRC, a significant majority want him in for another term. He still has to actually win the election. If people don't like him, he'll be out despite the change. If they do like him and want to keep him on, it was probably the right choice.

As you can tell I don't like any of those people that I've listed. They are degenerate demagogues. Irrespective of their associated ideology they have contempt for humanity and would watch us all burn if they could get away with it or do a bit better for themselves. I don't believe that most politicians are like that, I believe that those politicians are like that.

All politicians make mistakes, but some go beyond that. You don't believe that some people are exceptionally bad?

I don't think purely populist politicians (or power for powers sake politicians) are nessecarily always a bad thing, well i wouldn't want one running the country its always nice to have a powerful voice which speaks up for the will of the majority of people (even if it is oh so insincere)

I am not a fan of term limits. If an electorate wants a person to represent them, it should be their prerogative. However, a council obviating a law just because it seems convenient at the moment is also tacky -- should have been done by referendum.
