Hi,
I have a question about recruitment turns. If I edit the EDU to have some units being recruited in 2 turns, how the IA will react? Will recruit less often that kind of unit or there is no diference?
My idea was:
Levy: 0 turn (but that will cause spams of this kinds of units, right?)
Reguar: 1 turn
Elite: 2 turns (to avoid mass production and increase rarity)

Most likely you'll get spams of levies, due to the financial assistance given to the AI.

From my modding experience, AI doesn't seem to prefer 0-turn units, and 2-turn isn't enough to affect AI's campaign decisions. Usually they schedule 2 or 3 units into queue, so 0-turn does have the expected effect to speed up recruitment, but not much else.
Generally, AI prefer elite units over the levies if they can afford, unless during emergency situation. If recruitment zone is not counted, it's not uncommon for a rich faction in 200-300 turns to have dozens of elite armies and almost no regular ones, even if each of the elite unit may take 2 or 3 turns to recruit.
What the turns really have effect on is the capability to replenish. If the elite units are destroyed and the enemy is pushing deeper and deeper, AI would begin to get mercenaries and cheaper units. But it still wouldn't prefer 0-turn ones unless they're good enough in their class. Also the 3-unit queue limit remains - so it'd be at most 3 levy units per turn, or 2 levies plus 1 regular unit.
I am pretty sure zero recruitment time make no difference. Thats the general view from what I have seen anyway.

I tested the 2-turns recruitment (plus an increase in the cost of the elites) and seems to work. Probably was just the cost adjustmet, but for example now the roman IA uses more Princeps (cost 1400, 1 turn) than Triarii (cost 2000, 2 turns). I was tired of face stacks with a lot of Triarii.

May I see some screen shots with your tests regarding AI recruitment?
I always think that some levies should be 0 turn recruitement, they don't need to be trained for a long time. And in times of war, you will just call upon the slaves and citizens to get their armour and weapons to fight.

So far I just tested the 2 turns recruitment, not the 0 turn, against romans and aeudis.
