I was listening to the credits screen on R:TW for the 100th time today and I'm wondering if it's possible to get the music that plays as the credits roll by as a .mp3? or some kind of playable music file that I could put into Itunes/music player?

It's possible. Let me remember how.
EDIT: (10 mins later) Yeah, it is great music. I have it in .mp3 format in my music document, in fact. Anyways, you need an unpacker of some sort. Let me find you a link.
EDIT2: (30 minutes later) HERE WE GO: http://www.twcenter.net/forums/downloads.php?do=file&id=32
I'm sorry for not taking the time to tell you how it works, but I'm sure someone will come along and help you out. It's a program that should unpack the music files in the RTW folder. I've did enough in this nigh-fruitless search. It was almost like Jason and the Argonauts, only with barely any prize at the end. Wow. :clown:

No need, go to the composer's website (http://jeffvandyck.com/) and get the track (http://dnama.dyndns.org:98/rome/Credits-Forever_%28Rome_Total_War%29.mp3). It's what I did.

Still, I appreciate your help Methuselah! And thanks Quirinus for the quick and painless way, cause I gotta admit it was takin some time to figure out how to use that program.

If you love the Rome credit music why not try the Medieval II credit as well?
Destiny - The original credit song

Kingdoms Expansion song - my fave

All of the three songs are composed by Jeff Van Dyck and sang by his wife Angela, and I think maybe his daughters are involved as well, but I'm not too sure about that.

Wow, nice! I did not know she was his wife, but she sure has a beautiful voice.

 I agree, actually his work with RTW is my favourite (maybe partly because I like RTW so much). The battle music, "Melee", in particular, captures the frantic and chaotic struggle going on in a battle very well. Plus it's excellent for jogging.

Haha I'll have to try that when I go out for a run.
