Conflicting traits? [Archive]

Is it possible for traits to conflict each other? i mean like i have a FM that has the trait Rational Beliefs and Religious. Also i read in export_desc_character_trait file that the highest level of the trait Sly being Great deceiver gives command bonus? it's coz my faction leader gained this trait and i'd to know where it'l lead:book:

yes, f.e. a FM can have traits that give his troops moralbonus on the battlefield (lets say +3) and traits that minors moral on the battlefield (lets say -2). The moralbonus will be the summon of his traits (in this case + 1 )

at least this is how i think it works

Its perfectly possible-heck, its even possible to have conflicting traits in real life, like those two above.(guilty)

yes, I know its been answered, but I have to add this tidbit.

Ah ok thanks guys... oh btw whats the worst possible trait someone can get as a romani FM? aside from being stupid if their is even that trait Lol.

I don't know about Romani, but they surely don't have any as bad as the Getai "Returned by Zalmoxis." -6 to influence and I think it has a -3 morale penalty too.

Whilst it adds to the fun it would be nice if conflicting traits cancelled each other out simply in order to keep on top of the game especially when you have loads of FM's.

My own favourite was a Roman faction leader who was pious and firm personal morality but a drunken lout!!! Typical private and personal sides of a politician.
