Have you ever tried to do this before? I thought of this in a dream and then put it to play the next morning. I took all my armies from cold russian lands and sailed to the island of britannia. I took a big financial hit but it paid off @ the end. When I Arrived to Britannia I first fought the Irish and easily took their fortress up north and their city near Nottingham. Next I sent my faction heir and 1 peasant archer & 3 spearmen to Dublin and overan & pillage the weak little town. Following that I regrouped most of my forces and made war against the the english.

I laid siege to nottingham, they eventually sallied out but they only met their deaths to my superior number of archers. While all of that was happening I sent my only diplomat to ask for trade rights to france and then my lovely Spaniards + ask for a little cash to fund my conquest. As I secured Nottinham My Faction Leader headed to England and when I broke to the city. I easily broke through their lines thanks to my mounted boyarsons Cav Charge. All that was left was the castle between Dublin & nottinham... sorry I forgot the name. I held to my bloodlust for 3 turns to recoup my losses. When my forces were nice & fresh I sent my force of 600 to attack the castle. To my surprise my enemy had a sizeable force of 1000 strong... mostly peasants, levy spearmen, and peasant archers, they too had like 2 units of light cav and Faction heir. When the battle started I left the bulk of my force Composed of mostly spearmen, peasant archers, 2 dismounted Boyars, & faction leader attack from the front. Front their right side I sent a group of peasants to mount the ram and break the side gates for my mounted boyars to attack from their side.

I broke through their front gates and charged my blood thrusty Dismounted Boyars followed by my conscriped spearment. as that battle raged on I sent made my mounted boyars charge at their right flanks and started a rout. Most of them were butchered before they entered the city center. 20 seconds later the battle was over and carrion bird flew up high waiting for the rotting meat to be dumped outside the castle walls. Thus the battle for britannia was over. Next will be my conquest for central Europe but that can wait another day.

I mean I always migrat to England as well when I don't want feel like staying in my native lands. Like the time with HRE and Poland. Made Britain my base, got mega rich, and began my conqest there. Britain is a very popular destination.

I would think Britain is Very popular due to the fact that its well.... A very nice island that anyone seldom/randomly attacks. As Quintus cared to mention, Britannia does help you get mega-rich. All you need is Nottinham as your Castle. Everything else can be Cities.

I'd like to point out that as the HRE I migrated en masse to the Russian Steppes, and as the Scots I moved to Scandinavia. Britannia's nice, but I prefer to try different destinations as much as possible.

The British Isles are an obvious spot due to their isolation from the mainland. Is there anywhere else remotely comparable? Scandanavia could be good if you also had the cities across from Stockholm for trade. Perhaps the islands off the west coast of Italy would be a decent starting spot if the Italian Penninsula gets tough.

Sicily is nice but only contain one settlements, Britain has altogether 7 settlements, with a few settlements on the coast of France you'll be able to build a nice economy and also be at peace with everyone else. Sicily is good if you can grab Corsica and Sardina as well, they are relatively save from attacks but if step into the Italian penisular then you'll probably be involved in the 4 way struggle between HRE, Venice, Milan and Sicily.

Edit: Migrating into Russia is crazy... you only do this to get a challenge.

You could move to the Iberian Peninsula. Its in the right-mid section of Europe which is an easily defendable area. From there you can expand to upwards to france, downwards to Morroco, or sail forward to Italy. Also its far far far away from the Mongols which are nothing compared to the Timurids that come later on. Downside is that its a long trip to the Holyland.

Thats really the whole point. To be more prescise, it was a move to the Baltic region, including Scandinavia to an extent.

Iberia is a great place, but I rarely bothers to migrate there. Despite its rainny weathers I always found it more attractive than the Iberian penisular.

That's true, the Russian stepppes wouldn't be that bad if it weren't for the Mongols.
