I've stumbled upon an interesting Wordpress site which contains much commentary and many images and videos of Japan. I thought perhaps some here who are interested in such things would find the site entertaining. High-quality pictures of festivals and museums abound. He covers quite a wide variety of subjects, listed on a navigation border on the right side of each page.
So far, I've particularly enjoyed his coverage of Chushingura (http://samuraidave.wordpress.com/category/chusingura/), Yabusame (http://samuraidave.wordpress.com/category/yabusame/), Kyudo (http://samuraidave.wordpress.com/category/kyudo/), Bonseki (http://samuraidave.wordpress.com/category/bonseki/), and the Sapporo ice sculptures (http://samuraidave.wordpress.com/category/ice-sculptures/), which I saw back in 1972, while visiting family there. I'll definitely be spending some time here over the next few days.
For those who've not already found this, here is:

I would enjoy reading about any interesting discoveries that you find on this site. There's so much information that it will be easy to miss good stuff.
