Fascists (http://fastfood.freedomblogging.com/2008/11/05/mcdonalds-mcdouble-to-replace-1-double-cheeseburger/5427/)

Sure its one piece of cheese now but pretty soon it will be two and then they will take one patty away and then on a beautiful American morning I will drive in my beautiful American car to my beautiful American drive through and it will be gone forever.

Communists the lot of them

Muck? is that European for AMAZING? Good sir where else can you get 2200 calories and 125 grams of protein for 5 dollars American? I figure with only the one slice of cheese It may only be hovering around 2000 cals....commies.

Be adaptable. Just carry an extra slice of cheese in your pocket and roll your own.

Relax Strike, they're keeping it, just taking it off the Dollar Menu. It'll probably cost $1.19 now.

In a free market economy companies do what they must to make money at the expense of the consumer. The furthest from communism I must say...

...and McD is disgusting anyway. :inquisitive:

I still vividly remember the day I walked into a McDonalds in the 80s and ordered my favourite sandwich at the time - the McChicken sandwich. The girl behind the counter stared at me strangely and said "We don't have them anymore." My world stopped. I don't know how long I stared at her blankly, trying to comprehend what she just said. I don't remember what I ordered instead. I didn't care either. My beloved McChicken sandwich was gone.

McDonalds reintroduced the McChicken sandwich many years later. I was briefly excited, but the passion was gone and I realized there was a hole in my heart. It is chicken breast shaped, breaded, with lettuce and mayo. It is a whole that can no longer be filled.

I seriously doubt that the Double Cheesburger (http://caloriecount.about.com/calories-mcdonalds-double-cheeseburger-i20)gives you 2200 calories and 125 g proteins, unless you are talking about the deep fried accessories and a big fat shake to go with it.
In fact if you want a calorie bomb you should go for : The triple Whopper (http://caloriecount.about.com/calories-burger-king-triple-whopper-cheese-i101000).

BK for the win :2thumbsup:

You must mean the tripple whopper with bacon and cheese. Vulgar as fastfood might be, when in a hurry and hungry I occasionally allow myself to sink that deeply. Burger King is much better then McDonalds, but they really have to consider using other sandwhich, meat is fine, but the bread is of the get stuck behind teeth variety.

I cant "have it my way" at Mcdonalds! All they have are those crappy smiles....

They didn't have the bacon version on that site. But you are correct, the extra bacon would "up" the calorie and protein values.

Myself, I usually go for the Normal whopper with extra lettuce and extra tomatoes. (BK term: Heavy Lettuce and Heavy Tomatoes)
Been a while since the last time. When I studied in Australia, a pit stop at Queen street's Hungry Jacks was a quick way to still ... my hunger. :wiseguy:

DAMN ... Isn't it lunch already? *looks at the clock* Yes it is ... :beam:

5 burgers? :stare: Hadn't I known you lift da weights, I would say you are an obese in the making.
I am usually full after one whopper (with fries and drink).

A correction to your numbers is still relevant : 5 double cheeseburgers has 2450 calories and 175 g of proteins.

There is no overeating just under-training. 5 is normal it doesn't come close to what I can put down if I try.

25g of protien x5 burgers= 125

440 clas =2200 IDK why your says 490 but Im not complaining

In college I had a tendency to eat Taco Bell regular crunchy tacos in large numbers. My average was about 16-18 in one sitting, with the record at 20. I have no idea how I did that, since 3 now fill me up.

Back in my poor college days, the best deals (apart from Chinese buffets) were Arby's 5-for-5 (5 roast beef sandwiches for $5) and BK's 99 cent Whoppers.

Gah! I would honestly sooner starve than eat at a Burger King. How anyone can eat what they serve as "food" there is beyond me.

Personally, my favorite fast-food place is Hardees. In addition to their Hot Ham & Cheese sandwich, I absolutely adore their thickburgers, especially the Monsterburger and Mushroom Swiss. So good.... :smitten:

I don't know how it is in Portugal, but here it's either McDonalds or Burger King, we are kinda limited in choice.

That's unfortunate. If there's one aspect of American gluttony that I appreciate -- even glorify -- it's our wide selection of restaurant chains to choose from. :2thumbsup:

Why the comparison to Portugal, by the way?
