Numbered Legions

I wanted to ask if there were any mods where it would be possible to make numbered legions, after playing EB I wondered if it would be possible to command some famous legions like X Equestris, VII and others.

Although you can only have province names (the province, where the unit comes from, as shown in the picture ). No possibility for Legio XIV Gemina, as far as I know. I believe it's hardcoded.

You can have any name under the province. For examlpe I used the legion names in the provinces where yuo can recruit them

I personally prefer roleplaying legion names, because distribution over the province where it has been recruited gives so random results, especially because the vast majority of honorary titles were awarded because of special achievements (which may not fit a freshly recruited legion or the way or location you are using it in the game).
In addition you have to know that giving names to legions was a thing that came up in the late republic, after legions have become permanent units. Some of the names derive from emperors (Augusta, Claudia, Flavia) and should of course only be used, if there incidentally is an emperor of the respective dynasty; Deiotariana was a Legion that has been formed of the troops of the galatian king Deiotarus; Fretensis derives from the straits of Messina etc.
Not to forget that Legion names changed: Legio XI for example earlier was called Actiaca, for her prowess at the battle of Actium; Gemina Legions are merged from other legions (which perhaps had a name before).
Having said this, pre-named Legions would rather destroy the fun for me than add to it. Numbers is a different story though.

The numbers of the legion are added automaticlly after each legion come's along, the list I gave is for the people that may use them if they like.

I see your point and I agree to the extend where we can follow historical accuracy, but the engine and the game is not that historical-freindly which is a hard fact (the recrutiment for example - it would be much more accurate just to add 0 recruitment times - but we keep it 1 still)

Roleplaying legion names is almost 100% impossible in this game engine, pre-naming them is not historically accurete either -but that is the only way we skip engine limit's - (were all legions only numbered or did they have names? I would say that many if not majority of the new legion's were named right after their birth - but I am not a historian).

The pre-namig legions can give the impression that you can name the legions on a general scale. Also, the soul limits of the legion regional recruitment (in eb they are not allowed to be recruited and therefore not retrained anywhere outside Italy) are not in favour of the roleplaying.

If we dont pre-name the legions it can happen that we can have 6 Legions numbered with the same number - and that would be much worse.

The names I have used are ment to be random names of latin. Pre-named Legions are not ment to be historically accurate, they are impelmented for imagination and fun. They also get the number next to the name, for example: Felix I, Felix II etc. so they are numbered.
