My game crashed in 246 BC during the AI turns (it moves forward to another faction then jumps back to Casse and crashes). I've tried reloading but it doesn't help. Also, during the Carthaginian turn a diplomat offers me a ceasefire.

I am using the following fixes and mods:
- all permanent fixes;
- the single temporary fix (I don't play multilayer at all);
- Initial client ruler interlopers;
- Client ruler potential fix
- force diplomacy mod (I didn't use it on the diplomat).

I once had an identical CTD in a Ptolemaioi campaign about six months ago but that one happened in 232 BC.

I have a save game from two seasons before the crash and an auto save from just before the crash but I don't know how to upload them (if it is necessary).

Also I was a bit sloppy with backing up my files so I don't have them if I need to remove a fix.

The script in the original fixes are reported to be more stable than the optional ones. You cannot uninstall the optional fixes without a backup though.

That said, you should scout the whole map for any revolts. Use toggle_fow, and refer to the frequent issues for workarounds if you find any.

This is a minor update on my attempt to fix the CTD because I found something strange.

I tried to reload from my oldest save (two turns away) with no result and reducing the population in rebellious AI settlements (no result).

I then decided to switch faction an see if I could solve it that way. I did so with Carthage and found something strange: two cities with the burning pitchfork icon that had a public order of over 100% (explaining why reducing population didn't help).

Also I couldn't find the .xls file you mentioned and found a post that seems to have the internal faction names. Since you asked about it in the Frequent issues thread I thought I could help.
Is this it? (post #2)

I will continue to switch factions until I get some results or run out of factions.

EDIT\UPDATE: I switched to the Getai, the faction during whose turn the CTD happened, ended a turn with them and that seems to have fixed the problem. Hopefully this information will help in fixing similar CTDs in the future.

Just one little question: once I reloaded the game with the Getai to switch back to the Romani I couldn't activate the background script. It worked once I reloaded after switching but I am wondering: will this will cause problems in the future?

It might, but no more severe problems than an otherwise unsurmountable CTD...

Thanks for the link to the list of internal names, I've updated it now :bow:.
