Hi,

I was recently bought an iPod nano 8mg but I can't download anything to it.

I've done all the stuff that the troubleshooter asked of me, to no avail.

The last screen suggested I try to get some help from a tech forum.

So here I am.

This is the error code I get from the diagnostics...

Well, if it ain't detecting the iPod, have you tried using a different USB cable, assuming you have one? How about attaching somebody else's iPod to see if the unit itself is the problem?

The #1 rule in troubleshooting is isolate, isolate, isolate. Eliminate as many variables as possible.

Aye. Figure out all components of the trouble and cycle the instance as many times as needed replacing only one component at a time with a new one so as to see when it fails exactly.

Nobody remind me about doing this check with all stuff on the mobo please. Apparently I already did. :sweatdrop:

Yeah, start first by trying a different USB port. Then borrow someone else's iPod cable and try it with your iPod instead of your cable. Then try a different computer entirely with both cables, and try someone else's iPod on your machine with your cable. etc.

The iPod itself will turn on, right? Does it display a charge icon when it's plugged into the USB cable?

Well you could only fit about two songs on there anyway
