I have been reading about EB 1.1 with ALEX.exe but there is so much to read and search hasn't helped either. Could someone please tel me if it is or isn't savegame compatible with RTW 1.5? Just yes or no would be enough. Thank you and sorry if I have just asked a question that has been asked before.

It is, but the traits may be messed up because of the immortal trait alx.exe has.
Ussually, if you only play and enjoy - you will not notice it.http://www.megaupload.com/?d=BYT1DO3C

What does the immortal trait do?

Makes the FLs immortal or something. It's been fixed though.

RTW.exe saves are compatible, however, your FMs will get crazy-ass traits like "Slain by Romans" and faction-specific traits from every faction in the game.

I found that out when I tried to resurrect my Romani campaign (got permanently stuck during the AI turn). Not only did it mess up all the traits but the names of the family members as well. After laughing a bit I finally gave up on the Romani. Hopefully the more stable engine will make sure my Epeiros campaign won't suffer the same fate.

Oh, and thanks. ~:)

Right after you replace standard character traits file with alex-adapted version, you can start new campaign with any exe (plain RTW, BI or ALX) and new saved games should be interchangeable without any problems - new traits are simply ignored under RTW and BI (and no character should ever get them anyway).
