Is there any constraints to marrage proposals? I'm talking just standard family members not hiers/princesses ect. It's about turn 100 in my game and in the second generation of the family i've got about 5 generals atm in there 30's and not had 1 marrage offer for any of them, hence no children... i'm not going to have any family besides man-of-the-hour and adoptions at this rate...

So is there any constraints such as they have to stay still for X turns? Or maybe bugs stopping marrage offers?

The number of marriages you get is dependent on how many provinces you control as compared to the numbers of generals you have.

Generally, it is a 1:1 ratio which means that if you only have 6/7 provinces, the odds are that you wouldn't have many marriage proposals. Generally, if you suddenly go on conquering a dozen provinces, you should some more generals

In a battle atm so I can't check exactly but I've got around 40 provinces.

Must be 2 old guys, the 1st generation from the starting king, then 5 or so desendants from them. I've waited as long as I can but now i've started getting men of the hours (about 3 now) although I'm still not adopting. So i'd guess I have no more than 10 generals atm.

The marriage offers for generals seem to be random, but even if they are married, the game has that equation on rough numbers of generals, meaning they will not have children.

Tevash is correct with the 1:1 ratio. A further point is the max of 4 "children" off a parent couple. This includes adoptees/man of the hours etc.
