Nothing really. Although I did get you note of sarcasm, I just didn't have to wait more than a few seconds:sweatdrop:
Maion
Turns usually take about 30 seconds or so so I usually just sit and watch the screen and watch everyone moving around.

I read history books.
made tea/coffee, vaccumed, cleaned some dishes, shuffled around some things... anything that gave me the illusion of actually being productive

Push-ups were very productive and gave me some lickable-looking (from the eyes of girls, anyways) arms.

In my campaigns , AI turn takes usually about 15 sec , so I don't need to do anything in this time.

good one.:laugh4::laugh4::laugh4:
Well, when I play I just look at the screen and watching the faction symbols shift and characters move, it only takes about 30 seconds or so for the turn to end on my computer. wow, I can't believe people have to wait longer times. Are many of you using old computers, or just exagerating?
what did you do to kill time while ai turns?
I turned on "skip ai turn" :S

I read the Bible, 7 Tom Clancy novels, and 3 roman history books waiting for all the AI turns to end...

I think i said this on a similar thread. I'll attack my way up the stairs and secure a beer, then fight my way back downstairs and single handedly take the house.in the spirit of sir lancelot!
that or just do pushups till the turn's done. Helps when you get PT at drills.
well, I honestly prefer to just enjoy the pimped out tiles I got courtesy of Ferromancer's BI mini-mod. or read dougal Dckson's dinosaur book-the 2006 edition is very good. but my turns last less than 10 seconds, so I have to be quick.
@ Dutchpolite: you can masturbate in 3 seconds or less?:clown:
dude, you got some lebido there

i now have another laptop connected to the internet next to my EB hub, so sometimes i am on here as i am also battling - that can be handy for trying to fix crashes etc, as my computer is very slow and clicking out of EB mid-game would mean i'd never get back.

you can put the book in front of you...that or put it upside down as you do a hand-stand push-up...

Either push-ups (strange stuff for EB people, right?), review the turn aloud, or do homework.
I usually lifted weights. You know, those small 5kg ones meant for only one hand. Nothing real buff. It was something mindnumbing enough to do, and since the time between turns wasn't that long for me I couldn't really concentrate on reading (I'd read one paragraph and then after a turn forget where I was. If I read I sit down and read for hours).

I haven't upgraded to 1.2 yet because I have numerous ongoing campaigns which I am in the middle of expanding my empires further, so I'm still stuck with 1.1 and the load times; which is good, that means I won't spend the whole day glued to my computer and that I have time to do other trivial stuff, and maybe read a book, though after constantly switching between EB and reading books I might forget what I was going to do in EB or where I stopped at in the book.
alternatively, I might leave the room to do other stuff and eventually forget that I'm still taking up 1 GB of RAM by running EB.
how you lot had the time to do push ups to give you, as methusalah (sp?) put it, "lickable looking arms," is beyond me. unless you have a computer powered by a hamster on a wheel, i honestly can't understand how you can do anything worth value in the time it takes a turn to end!
I simply installed the "client ruler optimisation" published by bovi which lowered my waiting time to almost nonexistent...in 0.8 I was usually reading books or doing homework ;)
