Best Temple for AS

Hi guys,

Just started a new AS campaign on 1.2 and things are going well...

Just want peeps opinions on which temple they think is the best for AS. I would say it is -

Atargatis (farming)

* Shrine
+1 Happiness
+1 Law
* Small Temple
+2 Happiness
+1 Law
+1 Trade
* Temple
+3 Happiness
+2 Law
+1 Trade
* Large Temple
+4 Happiness
+3 Law
+2 Trade
* Wondrous Temple
+4 Happiness
+4 Law
+3 Trade

Since it gives the highest Law bonus of all the temples and with corruption being so damn high with AS you need as much Law as you can get. Plus the trade bonus is nice.

Is there such a big difference between AS temples in 1.1 and 1.2? I'm still playing my AS campaign in 1.1 and I always choose Temple of Marduk in new conquered provinces, especially East ones.In maior recruit centres (Seleucia, Antiochia, Ipsos, Sardis and one of East cities...Alexandreia....sth :embarassed:) I build Temple of Seleukos (it gives +3 morale boost). In very profitable and peacefull cities(there's only few such cities, Babylon for example) I build Temple Of Atargatis. In my opinon in general, temple of Marduk is the best one: big law bonus which reduce your garrisons cost, reduce squalor and corruption.

AFAIK morale bonus is broken, therfore I tend to build Marduk everywhere, this is just a killer temple...

I don't know if this is just coincidence, but many gvovernors in citys with marduk gain the trait "intolerant to other gods", did something like that occur in your campaigns?

Good to know that this bonus is broken...:no: but I won't destroy my Temples of Seleukos, it's nice to have some temples dedicated to faction founder:beam:. About this trait, I saw it quite often...I really don't remember is it positive or negative? But after all this trait is logical regards to this God's character...

It gives you a -2 to public order, definetely negative, does anyone know how this trait is triggered??
