Will EB2 need to swap EDU files as EB1?

I ask cause I think I have an idea for Mp


We all know that in custom battles our captain will be represented with a captain model, however this doesn't always looks like the logical thing. 90% of the largest battles I've had, had been on Customs, a lot of them with lots of elites, so why is a regular captain leading such a big army?

Besides, Generals/FMs models are way more ornamented and nicer than the captain ones.

So I was wondering , if you're still going to use the trivial script, could we use it to swap between descr_character?

One file with the captain model enabled and the other one with the captain model replaced by the general/FMs one so we can play with the general/FMs models in customs.

I'm 95% sure that I'm not the first one sugesting this though :sweatdrop:
(It's quite simple to make, I made it to my own instalation already)

We won't swap EDUs to play multiplayer. We have another solution for that now utilising the eras system in MTW2.

wait, ||Lz3||, did you already switch the captains models with Generals/FM models in your EB 1 game? if so how?

I think this should be doable.

and I suggest not to go in that direction or this one will also be closed

and I think this s no longer doable since they don't need the trivial script anymore... do they?

PS: Pilatus... I'll add it in my new minimod pack as some sort of hook :deal:

Hopefully, and keep your fingers crossed, the captains will look awesome enough that you wouldn't want to swap them.

Maybe not as cool as the generals, but still pretty awesome.

your talking about your new 1.2 minimod pack that isn't out yet right? or are you going to put it in the 1.1 minimod pack?

The MP FM swapper mod is already available in EB un-official submods forum
