1.5 Patch

Just getting back to TW and got Kingdoms gold us vers, wanted to update to 1.5. got to site and downloaded the patch but how do i get it to actually patch. it only asks me to save it, which I did but no option to run it to install. i'm prob missing something obvious but any help appreciated

It is a zip or rar file. You need a program like winzip (free or free trial) or winrar (free or free trial) to unpack it. After that just double click on it.

Step 1. Install this: http://www.rarlab.com/rar/wrar410.exe
Step 2. Open the directory where you saved the patch
Step 3. Double click the downloaded file, find the .exe inside and open it.
Step 4. Enjoy your Kingdoms
Step 5. Come to the Throne Room (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/forumdisplay.php?38-Throne-Room) to play versus human opponents in three of the four Kingdoms games!

Where can I see which version (patch) I am playing ?
I downloaded and unzipped 1.5 US gold, but am unsure if my game is UK or US.
I didn't see the patch version in the game intro.
Multiplayer is empty too, maybe because I haven't got the latest version ?
