Gunzaks Roman AAR

[Gunzak]

In 272 BC the Legio I of Rome moved south towards Taras which was occupied by the forces of Epiros. Legio I and Epiros clashed on the field just north of Taras. Legio I prevailed and destroyed the occupation army sent by Epiros with Legio I scoring a crushing defeat. The way south towards Taras was now open.
