Hi all. So it's December now, and with any luck in a month a demo of the game will be coming out. I thought about including demo in the title, but that tends to make people around here go a lil loopy :laugh4:

So while no one knows what the demo will be, all the demos in the past have been battles. Usually 2 battles.

So what would you like to see in a demo? and why?

Assuming we had any form of say :2thumbsup:

One of each. Both naval battles and land battles seem revolutionary, so it's best if they are both included.

One naval battle, one land battle, and a bit of the campaign (say 10-20 turns). At least let us get a feel for the strategic side of the game (in addition to combat).

I dont want a demo. I hate spoiling games before release. :embarassed:

and a bit of the campaign (say 10-20 turns).

This is always requested, and never implemented. RTW, RTW: BI, MTW 2, and MTW: K all were just battles with no campaign.

The devs explained it once by stating it was just to hard to release a demo involving the campaign map. Considering the campaign map is graphically improved and more advance. I doubt we will see it in a demo.

These are usually not spoilers. Usually they pick 2 battles from the historic category, and you get to play them.

RTW was Hannibal v Rome

and

MTW 2 was Agincourt English v French

and another battle I don't remeber name of

HRE with Ally vs Somebody I don't remeber.

These arn't custom battles, they are preset armies (navies) in a preset map, and you duke it out.
It's just a chance to see how the game works.

Or such has been the case this far.

Nah, I don't care - I won't do demo stuff, I want the real thing. The hassle involved in getting the demo and then just feeling limited by the lack of options or the "this will be in the full release" teasers will drive me nuts.

A much more interesting choice would be to know what people prefer if only one kind of battle were included in the demo. Would you choose land battle or sea battle? That's a tough nut to crack. I'm leaning toward land battles, but then seeing the new sea battles would be awesome too. I do hope they include both! :beam:
