So....does anyone here know of a good free firewall that is compatible with Vista 64 bit?
I know Comodo is good, but I have had several very nasty encounters with it because it is really hard to uninstall. I use Zonealarm on my computer, but, unless I am mistaken, it only works with 32 bit OSes.
Unfortunately no, using the Vista thing at the moment because I do not know of any good alternatives either, computer is fine anyway though.
My recommendation would be to just drop a few dollars and get one of these (http://www.linksys.com/servlet/Satellite?c=L_Product_C2&childpagename=US%2FLayout&cid=1175243243298&pagename=Linksys%2FCommon%2FVisitorWrapper&lid=4329833028B14). I don't really care for software firewalls.

I've got an even better one, but not sure the firewall in it is actually active, works like a charm otherwise though and my Pcs seem rather secure so far, at least Sophos didn't find anything yet. :2thumbsup:

I actually would, but for perhaps the next 4 years or so at least, I won't be using my own router and such so I would have to rely on software firewalls
i use Komodo Firewall on 64bit Vista just fine, i'd recommend it.
