The automobile bailout bill now before the US congress calls for the creation of a "Car Czar" appointed by the president to force changes in the auto companies and control the bailout money. Countries around the world are bailing out all sorts of industries. Having a separate Tsar (I prefer this spelling, though Car Czar has better alliteration) for each industry and each country is a disorganized mess. So, I have a modest proposal...

Let us appoint one Tsar with authority over the entire global economy. Only one man is qualified to wield that much power. I nominate Vladimir Putin.

Ha ha :laugh4:. Great film. Actually, the film is mediocre but some of the dialogues are really great...

Both spellings are pretty inaccurate misleading.

Why must we use the russian translation of the word? My choice is Ceasar.

srs question: Just what does a czar/tsar do? The limits of their authority seem very nebulous.

I second the motion.
