I made an KH wallpaper a few days ago. What do you think of it?

PS: I am a beginner in photoshop :hippie:, don't be to hard on me. Oh yeh, correct me if my greek is wrong! :embarassed:

Splendid! However, a real KH fan would be aghast at the walpaper, as the phalangites and archers were the last two things the Balkan Greeks were famous for. You really should add a hoplite to the wallpaper.

Oh, that! I only wrote that to speed ahead of your slow posts. As you can see, I've edited it and congratulated this young boy on his splendid art.

Good job, boy, seriously! Although one minor thing I notice is that the Greek and Roman phrases appear to be different shades of orange... Still wondrous, though. A great tribute to the glory of EB!
Although AP does have a point in stating that hoplites were what the Hellenes were famous for...

Its Akontistai actually. As for the unit, I would recommend some reformed hoplite (Thureophoroi, Thorakitai, Iphikratous Hoplitai, etc), or better yet - Peltastai (Hellenic Heavy Skirmisher).

It is great, but the greek is wrong.

it should write...

At EB's startup era Greek would only be written in capital letters. Case in point this stele from Epeiros' mentioning the " ΣΤΡΑΤΑΓΟΙ ΟΙ ΕΠΙ " or "Generals in charge of"/"Generals in situ".

(May I suggest in the future if you want to make another hellenic wallpaper, to copy paste letters from that stele, as this is the way they were written back then).

only problem for me is the mosaic, it seems compressed in the orizontal side, you could correct this in two manners, one is to cut a bit of left part, or right part, so to give it the right proportion, or a second way is to add some black bands up and down the picture, so that the mosaic got his proportion.

hmm.. in what sense? i wasnt trying to put him down, far far from me that, the fact is that the first thing that came to my eyes was the proportion of the mosaic being streched a bit, that is (to explain it better all the silhouettes of the various personnages are tighter than the original mosaic, they appear to be "compressed"), it was just a feedback. The composition was very nice overall from my side.

it appears one of my posts is missing from the Casse thread. I suggested removing the word Casse, as it would look alot more pleasing to the eye. And well... Its not written in "celtic" if there is a written celtic language at all. Maybe write it in runes! haha

I'm not sure if I like the fonts used... or I'm not sure if I even like the words appearing, but what if you use the font that EB uses?. It's called Yggdrasil (asian).


I think the faction simbols might be a little too big, I guess it's personal tastes
