Thanks. I play with fog of war on so am not sure. Perhaps this is one of those famous BI naval invasions. Or they just tried to escape Carthaginians which were destroying Egypt.

The Ptolemies probably bribed an army because they can, nevermind how they are going to get any use out of it. This should also go into the "boneheaded AI" thread.

I haven't bribed brigands/enemy generals for ages, do they change their names once bribed? Because Ptolemaios' general name was Theodoros Gazaios
