Hey Guys,

I downloaded the mod and tried to install it on RTR and I'm doing something wrong, it's not working, It doesn't open up - all I experience is a CTD. I don't want to try and install it on EB because I'm afraid I'll cause the same problem.

I've followed all the instructions. Any advice?

tried to install it on RTR

That's your problem right there.

Uninstall everything, reinstall RTW, update to patch 1.5, then install EB.

I actually have a clean install EB loaded. If the beer hasn't taken hold yet, are you saying it works with EB but not RTR? I can almost understand that.

I'd rather play EB, but I don't want it to stop working altogether simply because I'm too inept to figure out what I'm doing wrong in the loading of the 4 seasons mod. Oy! I need a beer.

Ok, now I'm confused.

So you aren't trying to install EB.

Now either you want to install some sort of RTR mod, which means you are in the wrong place, or you want to install it to EB...

Explain plz.

It's simple actually. I've already installed EB. What I want to do is install the "4 seasons per year" mod.

I also had RTR installed, so I tried the to install the "4 seasons per year" mod on it before I tried to install it on EB. It's not working on the RTR mod, its created CTDs. But I don't care.

What I want to do is install the "4 seasons per year" on EB - without destroying it (causing CTDs). I can still play EB 2 seasons per turn, but it's not as fun.

Beer anyone?

EB already has 4 seasons / turns per year.

So click end turn four times from the beginning of the game and the year will advance by one. In the meantime you'll notice that characters have traits telling you which season it is, and the campaign map will be snowy in the north and around mountains during winter.

There's no need to install any additional sub-mod in order to get four turns = one year in yoru EB game. It's likely that whatever sub-mod you have been trying to install over the top of EB is incompatible with EB. See the EB Unofficial Modding Projects sub-forum for a bunch of compatible sub-mods. If the sub-mod you are trying to install is not listed in that sub-forum, chances are it is not compatible.

If all this doesn't answer your question, then I have misunderstood your posts.

I hope you didnt understand...you don't need to do anything...just keep RTR and EB completely seperate. There's way too many problems that can occur if you multi install complete modifications and mini mods on top of them.

each goes into its own mod folder so there are no conflicts...

But by installing mini mods on both isnt that conflicting?

I have to think it is. I'm taking everyone's advice, deleting RTR, reinstaling EB and sticking with it. Besides, it looks a great deal more interesting.

You don't need to delete RTR. If you've installed it, and if it isn't completely modfoldered, which people say isn't true (IE, it actually is modfoldered), the damage is already done. You will gain nothing from deleting it. Get a clean 1.5 RTW installation and install EB into that.

Quick Note: Once you start a campaign, don't forget to activate the script! :2thumbsup:
