Well due to my general laziness and as new years eve rapidly approaches I am with out any ideas for a costume. The theme for the party is P, as in things or people that begin with the letter P, don't ask why, stupid idea I know but hey im not the host but anyway im looking for some good ideas on an easy to make but fairly effective costume. preferably not to run of the mill as there's nothing worse than looking like you've not tried. Also nothing to over the top as the only thing worse than looking like you've not tried is standing out like a saw thumb.

Just hoping that the combined creative juices of the .org can help me out and save me from total embarrassment.

I never seen the movie but I think his adorable

Three question

1. Are you a guy or a girl (just making sure i'm on the right page)
2. How old are you guys?
3. What kind of fanciness are you after (like bright colors, or wicked spontaneous?)

I'm a guy and most of the people there will be late teens early 20's so were all still young. Don't really get what you mean by number 3.

fair enough.

What I meant by 3 was is it formal or casual?

Oh it's casual. Me and my mates do a toss every year on who gets to organize it. Last year was alright as it was simply smart dress theme but this year the person deciding thought that the letter P theme would be a great idea..

Thinking about that maybe the penguin from batman might be a good idea?

Wouldn't be to hard to make I guess.

How about a pirate costume. I keep getting the image of Jack Sparrow in my head. Would be easy, a moustache, beads etc etc.....

That's hilarious, how'd you manage the barb though ?

As for the actual topic, I'm just going to have to say I hate themed parties. Half of the people at the party don't bother with it anyway, and the other half will have to wear whatever it is they put on the entire night.

Amen to that.

I find the solution is getting the right mix. Something that can be changed into casual clothing later on in the night but can be used as a costume alter on. To be honest the people who don't try annoy me.

A painted piece of wood in the shape of a stake strapped to my chest. Got annoying after a while though.

I remember seeing this priest https://img.photobucket.com/albums/v517/hoppy84/pedpriest.jpg a while back, and depending on the company at your party could be quite a laugh.

A friend dressed as a perverted pig once. Pig snout mask & a 3 foot long banana shaped balloon anchored in the anatomically appropriate spot.

Or... how about a crappy formal?

I come dressed in a full suit and half of the morons are wearing jeans and polo shirts. :wall:

As for the actual topic, what about Pontius Pilate?

I second Zombie panda. My lord Yoyoma is truely wise

Although I am tempted to see someone dressed as Zombie pimp.

Go as POTUS. Just have someone follow you around in a suit and sunglasses all night, with a bit of curly plastic behind their ear. You can just wear whatever.

You could dress as the Pope.

Or pray act as some other practicing preacher of promise.
