I understand that the thread has been locked but after playing mafia for the first time and being a massive fan of low to nil-budget games :D I thought I'd start a fan thread.

Don't you boys ever tidy your rooms? I'm not sure if General Hankerchief maybe posted a list of 'confirmed' players rather than sign ups but this is what I tallied from the locked thread:

I think it's weird to post a game (although I'm sure there may be extenuating circumstances) in November, and then postpone it to May.. would General Handerchief be willing to pass on the administrators reins? I don't want to wait til may:smash::laugh4:
If GH is agreeable, anyone else fancy a shot at GMing it?

It probably got locked because there weren't enough signups and it was designed to be a huge game. It's a shame, because I tried to do a huge game too but there weren't enough people in it, and it ended up only being 29.

Hmm... I'm pretty sure I signed up, too. There tend to be more players when people are less busy in the Summer. Perhaps that's why GH is waiting until May.

Though I enjoy the rise of the new players, I also miss the old faces.

Folks, this game is my baby and I fully intend to see it through. You can count on that. :yes: That said, it didn't look like we were getting 50, so out of courtesy to other hosts (since I was taking up a spot in the queue) I decided to postpone things until May. By then, it'll have been long enough where we can get a new group of players.

Also, had things started right when I posted the game, I would have been in deep trouble since I wouldn't have been able to devote much time to the game (due to real life), which I hadn't forseen before that. The mid-May start date was designed so that I'd have plenty of free time to devote to making sure that Pirate Ship Mafia is what it deserves to be.
