On one of the unit descriptions, Medium Hellenic Phalanx I think, it sais this when describing why the phalanx units werent actually that bad.

"One, the Romaioi army was at a high state of readiness and tactical prowess after defeating the Karchedoi."

Who are the Karchedoi? Iv did a google search and all that came up was stuff from EB.

Karkhedon is the Greek name for Carthage. Karkhedonoi [or Karkhedoi] are the inhabitants of that city.

Karchedon was the Greek way of saying "Carthage"; Karchedoi are therefore the Carthaginians.
