Will there be more patches for EB1?

I've played 4 campaigns. Rome, Eprios, Casse, and Baktra. I've had to abort all of them since the game becomes too unstable to play, I save games until I can no longer get passed a turn with out a CTD. The eprios game was espcially good and I was very upset when all that hard work resulted in a 241BC crash. I tried to turn the script on, off, etc.. Nothing saved the game. I'd just made it to the point where I was building up an elite army to invade the eastern kingdoms. Would've been awesome.

Will there be another patch for EB or are all the resources being allocated to EB2? The game looks and feels great but it's just too unplayable. If this is the final patch I'm thinking of going out and getting M2TW.

Also: there won't be any new additions to EB I. Almost all work has gone to EB II.

I can see you are talking about EB by looks and feels great, but unplayable?

The only CTD's I have are corrupted save games and RTW memory leaks, nothing which has to do with EB. Have you installed the fixes? Because the cause for the trouble must be on your end.

We haven't ruled out balencing and stability patches, but there will not be any new content. If and when a patch is released it will be as and when there is a significant volume of fixes to justify a patch, vs just hotfixes.

Awesome, hot fixes are what I was getting at, not new content. The game is playable until a point. But if you hit that one spot were you can't bypass a ctd, you need to roll back to earlier saves, and at that point it's too hard to try reclaim lost ground, sort of lose the will to do it. So usually I just start a new game.

I'm actually starting a new roman game. This time I'm turning off autosave and saving turns myself. I've got 4 well placed saves and I'm 15 seasons into the campaign. The last game I played was fantastic, Carthage actually put up a fight and I was choked to have to let that one go.

:inquisitive: The only CTD's I ever had were RTW memory leakages (not EB's fault) and this one rebellion CTD which was easily fixed...

I had a random crash before a small battle right after I started EB and loaded a game.

Eh, it's probably associated with the RTW memory leakage. Also, I have noticed from bygone observations that it is best to wait at least 10 seconds before closing the battle screen.

alex exe fans claims to have less CTD I can assure that no I have CTD in every 2- 2.30 hours so I save my game in alex in every 2 hours then quit the game and restart.

and sometimes if you make battles without stopping namely if you have fight two or more battles cos enemy attacks you it is like to ctd, but you have no chance to save against simultanous attacks :no:
esp. if you have heroic ones in both...
I still use old pal : waiting 30 secs or more after heroics or simutanaous battles..
