Maybe "Excelled in Spartan Agoge" => Krypteia.

Yeah thats why i posted that, i had a Ptolie general that got that trait and got really nice traits, like one that was about being the organizer of festivals or something like that, but i think thats a nice trait it might generate some other nice or really bad traits...:dizzy2:
Maybe "Excelled in Spartan Agoge" => Krypteia.
Not necessarily, I've gotten "Excelled in Spartan Agoge" before without the former krypteia trait.

Your general has to be a spartan, sharp, charismatic, and he has to be smart, and I think he has to be loyal, and vigorous.

If you send a young character to sparta, he can take part in the spartan Agoge and become a pretty tough guy.
Some of your FM, who could take part in the spartan Agoge, are that good, that they can even take part in the Krypteia. This means - as the advisor will tell you - that you should place him outside sparta, but still have him not leave the province for a couple of years. Just leave him there, same as the Agoge-procedure.
If he finished, he will even be tougher than the normal Agoge-Fellows

In my experience, I have sent several characters with different trait combinations:
Sharp/Charismatic/Langorous
Sharp/Uncharismatic/Vigorous
Dull/Charismatic/Vigorous
The ones that were vigorous received traits that helped with the hitpoints of the general. They graduated the Agogae with no negative effects.
However, I had a young Spartan who I sent to the Agogae who had this:
Sharp/Charismatic/Vigorous
Not only did he obtain the hitpoints (which was all I expected), but he excelled in the agogae and became a Kryptos.
Remember that special organizations need top-notch leaders. That is probably why Sharp and Charismatic people excell here. And the trait, Vigorous, also commands respect from peers, having succeeded in undergoing some of the most rigorous training regiments in Greece. Characters with Sharp and Charismatic who did not have the Vigorous trait could not become Kryptos, or at least in my experience.
I can't say anything about the Loyalty, but I'm sure that my general had that trait as well. Unfortunately, I don't have any screenshots to post, so you'll have to take my word on it.:sweatdrop:

Hmmm. I didn't know there is a trait like that (I mean the "former Kryptea member").
Can other hellenic factions FM's get that trait or only Koinon spartans??
Congratulations on obtaining a Vladimir Putin, I will have to try that. Can anyone confirm what Swiss is saying?
Yes, check out the 2007 June preview (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=87150): the process of going through the agoge is explained there. Performance in the krypteia is indeed affected by the primary character traits (intelligence, charisma, vigour), but don't know exactly how. It's worth to keep in mind that there are in fact six levels of each of these traits, but you only see the broad trend on the character detail scroll.
Does anybody know what traits the agoge and krypteia affect
Can other hellenic factions FM's get that trait or only Koinon spartans??
All faction members of all proper hellenic faction (so not just Spartans) can participate in the agoge, provided their faction owns Sparta off course.

i think that for the krypteia you have to have a spartan ethnity
so technicly if you have a spartan general adopted as makedonia he could be in the Krypteia

Well, that does help. However, every Spartan I have is seditious. Also, everyone else I stick in there gets the 'Utterly Incompetent' trait that ruins him for life... unless he's Rhodian because those Rhodians get ridiculous management.

TELL me about it. I got a Rhodian dude that has like FULL management and influence in Athenai. Building costs are slashed by like 40% there. I built an eilte barracks for 1/3 of the normal price.
