Sorry if this has been dealt with before, but I did a search and nothing useful came up..............

So, I've got medieval 2 with kingdoms add on and I've noticed that in the standard campaign bribery seems to be broken, even with massive wealth accumulated at the end of the game I can not seem to bribe even the rebels. This is in contrast to the stupid AI who will sell lucrative cities on the cheap at almost any stage of the game. So whats the go, has anyone else noticed this feature too, or is it just me?

Whats also strange is that on the crusades campaign bribery seems to work ok, just not with standard campaign.

Its a "problem" in one of the files (campaign_db) that's making it nigh on impossible to bribe, especially late game. Mods such as mine take care of that.

I'll second FactionHeir and suggest you try out his mod. It will fix bribery as well as a whole host of other problems. It really helps improve the entertainment value of the game without changing the basic feel.
