We need members to join our Company and share out jobs... I.E questions, new ideas and competitions (maybe a yearly comp which the winner receives a awardlike HOF,COF etc)
Please no Spam and no hateful messages
Obviously tell us if its a bad idea but none of the 'burn ballon Inc'save it for somewhere else
Hope to here on your thoughts...

(not that they aren't already) and add a little more competition in the Entrance hall

Now that I think about it, it's not a bad idea at all since Junior Members IIRC do not have access to most of the forum at first until they are validated. It would be a great way to welcome newcomers.

I voted yup. This sounds like a fun, harmless way of involving the newer members and easing them into the site. And balloons are always fun.

Make sure you get the permission of one of the Entrance Hall mods. If they give you the go ahead then I will help if you need anything, so long as it doesn't involve too much work. :laugh4:

I suggest you take suggestions people make in this thread, think about it, and then post a thread fully outlining what you plan to do. That way people know exactly what your idea involves. If the idea is good I'm sure there will be no problems with you going ahead. :2thumbsup:

A very good idea, Knight of Graal. A good way to welcome newcomers, and lets people post in a productive way which contributes to the wider forum (Rather then uselessly spamming through Hello threads). If you need help I'll lend a hand.

I think this could be a good idea. A good way toget junior members more involved with the .org as a whole, and give them something to do!

The public profile presentations are a good example, if nothing else it gets new members exploring the .org's features ~D

Your idea of creating presentations and competitions for things, sorta like the profile thing, is something I really like. It will be one more thing that new members can get aquainted with the .org with.

1.We'll set up a thread called the Big Entrance hall competition (?)
2.Then once an year (2 months?) or so We will set up a competition involving questions
profile presentations, Mafia's (new members because of no access to the Gameroom)
and other assorted competitions. ( I prefer once a year because less would lessen the value of the
prizes)
3.Get members of Ballooners Inc to help make the prizes Like Prize ribbons and badges like Hof and Cof
4.Do the competitions.If their is more than one winner we could do runoff pollsprofile presentations.and new games to find a winner
5. End of the years Comp and the thread sinks away into the rest of the Entrance hall

Mafias are the forte of the Gameroom, the Entrance Hall is not the place for them. There is a reason why new members are not permitted to join.

Question threads might be interesting, I would suggest trying to keep questions in as few threads as possible as to not create a spam problem however. Maybe fun quizzes on the Total War genre and the .org?

Click on User CP (It should be somewhere near the top left of the page). Look at the links on the left hand side of the new page that opens. Look under 'Networking' and you should see a link titled 'Social Groups', click it. It will bring up a list of groups you can join. Ballooner Inc is on that list.
