It's about how large M2+kingdoms is on my HD (15.3g).

If ETW is as big as M2 plus its expansions we can only hope that means it boasts an absolute wealth of content.

So who is going for the digital distribution to be the first one to play it?

I know, I will wait for my game to be shipped to me. I just need a manual and a map and all those other nice things that come with a retail version! :2thumbsup:

At 15gb, sounds like it would take me at least three hours to d/l from Steam.

Well preload will be availabe 48 hours prior to the release date. That should be more than enough time even for 15 GB.

I am old fashion that way too! I want to see something for the money. I just don't know to pre-order and have it shipped or wait till it is in the stores. I know I won't be the first to play it will have to be one of the other fortunate members in the Org.

*Does Happy Dance*:dancing: I was fairly confident that the game would be released in early March, but it is always nice to have solid confirmation. I also require a manual to hold in my little paws.:book:

I'm glad to finally have a real release date. It's even better that it's in early March, and not like March 30th. I don't think we'll get a demo, but I can hope.

Gentlemen, do not give up hoe for a demo! We shall endure, and the promised demo shall come!

(If you give up Polemists might finally snap and do something horrible)

I'm now going to pre-order Special Forces to get the fancy map that comes with it. My campaigns shall be planned out on paper, as nature intended!

They may be releasing the demo after the actual game. A few games have done that recently, I think.

/sorry Polemists.

Gah! I'm probably going to have to wait for my graduation present (a shiny new Mac complete with Bootcamp) before I can play the game. Rest assured though, I will be wiling away my summer playing this game:medievalcheers:

Firstly, cheers for the game having a solid release date as I know many of you were scared it would slip to late march.

Secondly, luckily for me , so far CA has always released a demo before release of product, all way back to shogun.

Third, we should have something to commemorate this great news......like

a

DEMO

sweet, sounds great. This also hopefully means a demo is around the corner yay. The system requirements talk about windows, does it work for mac(cuz if it doesnt i need to brag to my friends since we have a windows vs. mac battle)

It will be a Windows game, but a mac user CAN just use bootcamp and VM windows.

Nice find, Sir Beane. Way to be fast on the draw! :beam:

I must admit, I'm pleasantly surprised. When it was announced that the game was being delayed til March, I anticipated that it probably wouldn't come out until closer to April. This is indeed good news. :2thumbsup:

I was lucky with this one. I was bored, so I decided to browse the Official site. There's nothing new in the News section but I decided to refresh the page on a whim. And then it appeared, so I rushed here to post it. :laugh4:

That is odd as CA is actually rather slow to update there site.

On plus side, it means we are that much closer to

a

demo

I'll be honest your really going to struggle and if you can you'll have to have everything on really low specs but it does reach the minimum requirements so there's a good chance it might.

Surprised it doesn't support 64 bit Vista.

Surprised it doesn't support 64 bit Vista.

Those are minimum specs, not a list of all supported OSs. You need a minimum of Xp or Vista 32 to run Empire, but I'm sure the 64 bit editions of either will work much better.
