In episode one of the anime, Soshun, of the land of the great Weapon Masters of the West, reloads his automatic crossbow/grenade launcher and yells at Afro that his jumping has only served to put him in his line of fire.

The thing is, it took him 5 seconds to say that, enough time for someone in the middle of a jump to land again.
