Custom Signatures and Avatars, done by request.

If members of the org want some of there images turned into sigs, or just want to give me a theme to work on, I will attempt to make some artistic contributions to the org. While My skills are limited If some members would like me to make them a signature, or even a design for there public profiles just say the word and I will attempt to make one to fulfill your wishes. :bow:

I'm sure I don't need to remind you about keeping signatures within site rules, as in nothing inappropriate that someone of 13 or younger could not view without objection (the rating of some TW games). Nothing overtly political that could cause a problem :beam:

Hey, i would like a sig picture :P

i really dont have any pics sorry, but if you could still do it i'd be more than gratefull :P

I'd like one with a Maratha's soldier with a flag on the right of it, with his head down but holding out a sword pointing to my name in a funky Arabic kinda font to the right, with the sun falling as well.

Certainly a massive first challenge, but i'll see what i can do! :beam:

I'm puzzled with lenins, ive tried 2 sig types for him but they dont seem cool enough :wall: I'm not really sure how versatile he is with his sig like just the pictures you displayed or perhaps other soviet union associations too maybe?

I should have been more detailed:yes:. Maybe things like symbols relating to the U.S.S.R, Maoist era China and the DPRK would be good with some imagery like parades and flags.

As always, my work is 100% original, custom and created from scratch. This one in particular is created from images that are layered and reworked, additional special text and background, and a custom texture. I'm quite happy with the result, and the old Soviet style posters does make communism look good, which is the effect I was going for.

When you upload it, you will see a couple of links that Imageshack creates. You want the one that says "hotlink for forums" or something similar. What you have now is a thumbnail. If you are unsure, experiment with all the links by previewing them in the signature field.

Oh, and when you upload to Imageshack, make sure that no picture resizing option is chosen.

I usually put these tags followed by the address to the picture such as for example http://www.imageshack.com/img/90463 and at the end. This should display the picture cleanly without linking to anything.

It isn't actually misspelled, but the font I used (called Kyrilla) is not an actual Cyrillic font but a faux one, as you noted. It's probably designed to overexaggerate the foreign look of Russian text in the eyes of a westerner. Therefore, some characters get warped or switched when trying to write actual Russian. Here is the text I tried to duplicate:

I'm sorry if you feel offended but I will not change the text. I'll admit that when I designed the sig, I didn't count on an actual Russian person to read it, but merely wanted a reasonably accurate impression of Cyrillic text that looks like we westerners imagine it to look (which is very very foreign).
Latin or Arabic is also a bit "gibberish" to us brutes, and people often have a romantic and stereotyped picture of what these languages look and sound like.

Hey, I am looking for a sig because the bottom of my posts are bland and I loved the USSR style, especially as it looked like a great properganda poster from the Soviet Union, which is probably what you were going for. I am looking for an Empires themed sig with the words, The Sun Never Sets In the Empire. Preferably I would like a line of redcoats with some kind of effects on them, but to be honest I would like something original.

I would need a sig about the size of what you guys made for lenin96 (can be a wee bit smaller, but certainly not larger). Theme should be Sengoku Jida (timeframe of STW) and, if possible, involve a ninja dueling a samurai (no blood, no gore). It would also need the words "Swords in the Moon" in it. When any body has time could some one make a sig picture a little bigger then lenin's that has all 5 of my current sig pictures next to each other with "My heros" legible at the bottom of it.

Just wanted to bump this up in case anyone with some free time didn't see this.

I like anime, i just usually happen upon anime pictures with simplistic backgrounds which are easy to render :P

From there I pick a suitable stock picture as a background, render some flames or add some C4Ds, my name in either F'Donkulous or Satan something something and i'm done :D

As you can judge by the name "I hate all these layers damn ryu" It took a decent amount of work to make this, work, and i'm still not happy with the final frame, where the hadoken is still visibly floating there.

Ryu also kind of moves up towards the end >_<

I save almost all of my files as .xcf's for just this reason!>

Here, this look alright. What I mean was I wanted to get the guitar as well as hammett's face in there, which was difficult at higher sizes, nay impossible, and when the picture is really small it looks off to me.

I'll of course see how you like this, and if you need it changed I can still do that.

Thank god I saved the xcf's from both of the files, I was able to put both versions up there, with the new picture.

My upcoming game "WWI:Clash of Empires" could need some sigs.

Could it be done with bolder font and something more visible against the background, red comes to mind but try different colors.

I may very well use it, if you could tweak the font/color of the text. It looks superb.

Through experimenting with different colours, I realized that applying silver writing, then covering it with another colour makes it look rather good, I've done a few, Personally I think black works best. :wink:
