AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRGH!!!!!!!!!!! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dear God, WHY?! (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gk0GT2_COYM)

:wall::furious3:~:mecry: Wasn't In Through the Out Door bad enough?! Haven't we had enough incredibly mediocre albums produced by former rock-and-roll giants to make us thoroughly depressed throughout this decade?!

Unless Paige and Jones manage to pull off some kind of incredible miracle, or they sell their souls to the devil, this will be the final nail in the coffin for yesteryear's rock artists.

Who, Led Zeppelin?

Nah, dude, that's the point. Lemur mistitled the thread when he changed it.

Led Zeppelin is going to make a new album.

THANK THE GODS!!!!!!!!!!!!! OH YEAH!

And it's without Plant! Bonus!!

If it just gives me one new solo by Page, I will likely have a boner for a decade.

Not even close to sarcasm.

Bands these days can't play a guitar. So we're left with the old ones to do their magic.

I'm with Hore. It of course won't be the same, but if one of them had to go, Plant is best. His voice is gone. Also, he and JPJ were responsible for Zep's last not-so-great albums, as Page was completely strung out.

I'm extremely excited about the tour - Zep is my favorite band. The album will most likely not be great, but I'll give them the benefit of the doubt. Page was responsible for their greatest music. Remember, Slash gave us the excellent "Slither" from Velvet Revolver after he dumped Axl & the boys.

Actually, (http://www.myspace.com/radiomoscow) yes, (http://www.myspace.com/buffalokillers) they (http://www.myspace.com/broughtlow) can. (http://www.myspace.com/ridetheblinds) It's just that they're not getting the recognition they deserve.

I'm not shedding any tears over Plant. Even if he was still in the band I think it's a bad idea. My problem is that 1) it's been 30+ years since Paige did his best work and 2) his best work was done in conjunction with John Bonham. You could certainly disagree with me on this, but I really see Paige and Bonham as having developed into an inseparable musical pair by the end.

Anyhow, Jimmy Paige's guitar playing has always been far from my favorite aspect of Led Zeppelin; in fact, when I first started listening to them I thought I would end up hating them because I despised Paige's playing, as well as Robert Plant's voice. It took a while for both to grow on me.

But I'm glad a few people, at least, are defending Led Zeppelin.

I'm all for a tour, but not the album.

Edit: To be honest I listen to Zep mostly for the fantastic John Henry Bonham. But, I'm an amateur musician so....
