My Romani campaign was going fine (apart from some CTDs, but thats something you can expect). But now I almost completed my campaign something WEIRD happens. The graphics get all messed up...
Note that I am still playing 1.1...
All graphics get messed up like this:

This is the Caspian Sea, although the upside down faction symbols in the water look pretty neat:clown:
Does this have something to do with my video card? It worked fine with all TW games and until now it also worked with EB. Are my graphic option too high? (never had it before). Or is it something else?
Please help, I want to finish my Romani campaign:help:

Um........yeah.
The obligatory responses: Restart your computer
Try reloading a previous save
Just simply declare freaking victory already, man!
Update your video drivers
Try turning graphics options down
Re-install a clean version of EB and load your save in that one
Etc., Etc., Etc....
Good job!

Never had any graphical problems, today I entered a fight with Baktria then everything went weird. I exited the battle and reloaded, when I tried again the game froze. And I restarted the computer but it still happens (last time was after I activated the background script and then I clicked a city).
It looks like Sauron got teleported to Asia and decided to settle down.

RTW just got confused about your textures. Restart everything and see if ti works. If not, you might have to, as Desert said, go search for the One Ring and destroy it in the fiery bowels of the EB Backroom.

I think it maybe that your videocard's RAM got damaged. Similar thing happened to me, albeit at a smaller scale - some tiles had wrong graphics on them, and when I changed videocard that problem was gone.

Any reason there are upside down faction symbols underwater in the first place?

What is so crazy about that? I am going towards the same goal in my current Romani game, with 126 provinces by now. Anyway, a balloon :balloon: to you, Fluvius Camillus, for such marvellous and awe-inspiring Romani expansion. How did you do it by 200 BCE? Did you happen to use cheats or something? I am in 223 BCE with my 126 provinces, and I have halted my blitz due to most severe overextension.
But anyway, Roma Victrix! https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/albums/thumbs/0/6aec893209cd48da8c58f1accfe2a652_611.jpg?dl=1229368052

Well I just have never seen Romani factions go that far even human players, only the yellow death.

Thank you for the technical on-topic response (not that I mind people being in awe of my expansion which is done without cheats), do you suggest buying a new videocard? How exactly could this have happened? Did I overburden it or something? How can I prevent this in the future?
Thank you

I might buy a new video card if I were you.
Edit: Can you run any tests or scans to see if anything is wrong with your video card?

Today I conquered the last Pahlavan city and also Baktra. The graphic prolbems happened not so much today, its still there but not often. It hasnt happened in battles this time, only on the campaign map. Control-escaping and then reopening temporarily solves the problem. Also my computer made a report that there was something wrong with the system of my computer screen.

I don't really know, could you point me some directions?:help:

Thank you very much, it is appreciated. No I never use cheats, any nice shots from your Romani campaign? At this date I have 7 fullstack armies at the frontier, 2 near Antioch, probably arriving when Im done already:beam:
I just play it smart, how do you do it?

If somthing is wrong with the screen isn't working according to your computer, you could just have a computer technician look at the moniter and see if he can fix it. You might also have a virus.

Well Fluvius Camillus congratulation on conquering the known world. I am a bit of a historically player, rule play is what I like. Currently I am in 117 BC, got the Marian reforms, and my Empire stretches along the Med. coast.
Cheers.
I am sure I have had this problem and it was created by my graphics card being overheated.
Great Romani expansion you have there Fluvius Camillus, :beam:
I usually never get past the First Punic War with my Romani campaign. Only ever managed to finish the Casse campaign come to think of it. :embarassed:

It keeps getting worse and worse, only 3 more saka cities left, 197BC. But I have to restart my computer twice a turn:dizzy2: I will probably finish in 6 turns but it is a pain to restart every turn.... Battles play fine though, but the campaign map is a disaster.:wall:
Of course I want to go on with a new EB campaign after this one, which does work... Also I would like to play empire.
It only happens when playing the game, outside the game everything is fine. I suppose my video card can't cope with games this large any more

Actually that looks sick:beam:
And, wow, that was a quick conquest. Legionaries on speed?
Seriously though, iirc RTW always had some troubles with you conquering the world. I remember my friend (who also liked to conquer the whole map) telling me that CTDs and glitches were getting on his nerves when he was finishing the conquest.

Yesss finally I got it, it is all mine. I am the unopposed ruler of the Roman World!:laugh4:

(my screenshot paint combo is kinda messed up, making those nasty white borders:furious3:)
I had to restart a lot and enlarged my computer's virtual memory. After playing for a while the problem totally disappeared!:beam: I dont think it is gone forever but it gave me the stability to reach this!
Now on to installing 1.2 and start a new campaign, or preparing for empire total war:dizzy2:
Focussing on passing my school exams could also be an option:clown:
Thank you all for reading!:2thumbsup:

Nice one, Fluvius Camillus. Ave Imperator and all that malarky ~:P
If you don't mind me asking, which was the last province/faction to fall?
...once more, congratulations on resolving your (admittedly quite pretty, but no doubt highly annoying) graphical problem, not to mention expanding the borders of Rome to the utmost limits of the (EB) world. But what happens next?

Well the last one is kinda an easy guess, the most northeastern city, Chighu. The home town of the Saka.
Problem is not resolved, it will probably show up again in new total war campaign.
After this fast conquering I might try to roleplay lose or maybe still win but not too fast, the Seleukids. Also I thougth about playing a small and very challenging faction, and conquer the furthest edges of the world! Also I have some school exams coming up.:wall:
