If possible, for Roleplay-Reasons (at least to me this is the most important part of EB, just blitzing the world I also could do with VanillaRTW) I would very much appreciate it, if there was a possibility to see who's the leader of the other factions.
Ah, I never considered that, but it's a great idea!
I wish FLs could also act as diplomats when interacting with other FLs, but that won't be happening.

A little bit related question: Will it be possible to change/choose the faction heir as in EB1?

I hate that late-minute desision
you can see clearly that at first you could change the heir (the disheired trait is still there)
and for once they make your FL really usefull (authority)
and the folowing moment any moron who couldn't tell his own dog to sit can be king
not to mention the obvious rp problems with the royal line of the king
sorry for the rant, I just needed that
ow and about the knowing wich FL is crowned where?
there was a sub-mod for SS who had that as a feature (don't remember how it called)

The only way to get a good Faction Leader if your heir was a fool...
Sent him with his bodyguards and some militia units, order him to campaign single handedly against enemy strongholds..... (nearly suicidal campaign).... we can guarantee if that boy is not dead, then he will become a high star general....
well, actually the scarred trait helps bulid authorithy afterall.... killing a lot of men (high dread also get bonus on authorithy)

Unfortunately, no.
WHAT?! That is hardcoded?
But... but faction leaders are suposed to be influencing the whole empire! It was what I thought EB2 would fix!:wall:

Well in Kingdoms there are factions who could freely choose the heir like the Teutonic Order, IIRC. I have never played Kingdoms but I think I recall somebody mentioning that.

I suppose you could bribe the heir away and back until you finally get the succession you wanted. And I don't rememberi f you could do that with the TKs, I just remember that they have no family tree.

If some factions could set the heir and some not, then it should be not that hardcoded, or not? Should be possible to copy that at the other factions? I'm not much of a programmer and modder, so Idk...

Is it hardcoded or not?

yes it is hardcoded
there have been a few rare cases where people randomly could change their FH by clicking on the portraits but it doesn't work most of the time and the reason why it sometimes works is unknown

If anyone can manage to hide family members screen, you can roleplay faction leaders as an ancillary.
Even you do not have to wait for the death of the faction leader so long as kingdoms.exe, that I have never played before, allows us to transfer ancillaries like RTW.
