Hello again
It seems i got yet another problem. And as asked by the sticky before, i am going to repeat myself.
-----------
LINK TO THE SAVE (http://www.axifile.com?9709951)
I am using EB 1.2. After having patched RTW to 1.5, i installed EB 1.1 and 1.2 afterwards.
I have no other mod apart from EB installed.
I have installed the script fix for 1.2 plus the missing sprites (finally managed to download it!).
With, or without scripts enabled at the start (by pressing, or not pressing the show me how to button), the game still crashes.
I have repeated the manual battle more then 8 times i am sure.
-----------
First of all i would like to say that i have read other threads where people have gotten a CTD after performing a manual battle, and i have tried all tips people gave, like, waiting 15-30 seconds before returning to the campaign map, disabling autosave or installing the missing sprites fix for 1.2. I would also like to say that i have no ATI card.
Now about the problem itself: My city of Sardis is under siege by the Seleucids. Their army is pathetic compared to mine, so i attempted to break the siege. Thing is, after the battle ends, and the battle results are shown, and after the computer finishes loading the campaign map, it crashes right there. This battle wasnt initiated by the AI, but by me, by the way.
If i conduct an automatic battle instead, the game continues, but i loose too many men, which i need to keep my offensive campaign in anatolia going on. This problem is hard to replicate, but if you wish to replicate it fast, you just need to:
1º Load the saved game and initiate the battle right away
2º Send a couple of men to the southern gate (2 hoplites and your general unit will do the trick)
3º Attack the reinforcement army (which spawns in the south) composed of only one heavy infantry unit. Properly flanked they will flee in no time.
4º Oddly, without the reinforcement army the Seleucid main army will flee the battle
What is curious about this, is that if i am the one retreating, the game doesnt crash. But if the enemy retreats, the game always crashes. At least for me. Oh, and i have also fought other manual battles in this turn so I believe its just this specific battle that is causing a CTD.
Any suggestion would be GREATLY appreciated (really want to continue the game without being forced to conduct an automatic battle!).
Thanks for the atention
