getting started in eb

hey im wondering if anyone can help me get eb to play, i have rtw gold edition, which comes with patch 1.5 as far as im aware! i have downloaded the two files, extracted them and installed! now i have two rome total war folders, one in my d: drive - the origonal and one in my c: drive - eb. when i click on the eb single player it comes up with an error saying -

execution of command\rometw.exe-mod:eb-show-error'failed (error2: the system cannot find the files spesified) :furious3:

asorry but i'm not up to scratch with how you do these things and would appreciate anyones help in solving this problem??? thnks

does it say "...rometw.exe..."? The RTW executable is called "rtw.exe" as far as I know. Might be different in the Gold Version though.

It would seem you installed EB to the wrong location. If you RTW is in you "D:" drive, that is where you need to put EB.

thnks for your coments, i managed to get it installed and playing! i installed it into my users folder and it ran as sweet as a nut, the problem was i had a mod already on it, amazon mod. so had to uninstall and re-install! tho i have another problem, i cant save any progress i have made in the game... so it's pretty pointless playing it unless i want to start from the beginning every time, i do the 'show me how' at the advisor and still cant save, any ideas??? it is becoming too much of a hassle playing this mod i must add

i have installed EB and it runs fine, the only problem is i cant save any game that i play, i do the 'show me how' button in the advisor section as told to but still i cannot save games... i need to start from scratch each time i play the game which is seriously annoying... has anyone had this problem and if so how do i fix this??? :help:

i'm about to uninstall this mod because it is causeing more hassle than it's worth! :wall:

The 'show me how' only does the script. You save the game by pressing Escape and then choosing Save Game

Actually, I don't have any idea what you mean? Do your saves crash or something? Are they unclickable or something?

What precisely happens when you choose to save the game? Please run a validation.

Disk full? Bad blocks? No permission? You are running Vista and installed into Program Files?

hey, ive been told to post a new thread, if i have sent pm's to anyone i apoligise as i am new to this and did'nt know, but to the problem - when i try to save a game it comes up with the following error -
save failed

-could'nt create save file on disk-


i am running this game on vista and have installed this mod in my users file along with the origonal rtw folder if this helps

jesus can some one help me to fix my problem, i cannot save any of my games. when i click save, it comes up with an error saying, save failed - could'nt save game file to data- :wall::wall::wall:

No. Where did you install RTW? Sounds like you either have no space left or no permission to write files there.

Run a validation, rather than asking for help everywhere other than here where it belongs.

rtw is installed in my users file, because you cannot install in program files and use the mod. i have 52g ree space in d: and 25g in c:is this enough space, i have no idea about permmision, i am the sole user of my pc

Then you have enough space, and it's probably a matter of having permission to write where the game tries to do so. I'm afraid I can't help you further with that part. At least not until you

bovi, i have ran a validation!!! still no joy but it doesnt matter now, i uninstalled the entire game so i could start from scratch... but now the origonal rtw wont install and cuts out half way thro the installment... i give up! im just gonna settle for mtw2 or cod4. cheers :dizzy2: :wall:
