So, the AI has different conditions for the Marian reforms. But do the AI Romani need Polybian Reforms before they are able to accomplish their Marian reforms or could they theoretically directly go from Camillan to Marian?

As per the EBBS:

;Unconditional AI Reforms
monitor_event FactionTurnEnd FactionType seleucid
and not FactionIsLocal
and I_CompareCounter Romanii_Reform = 1
and I_NumberOfSettlements seleucid > 20

if RandomPercent < 6
set_counter Romanii_Reform 2
terminate_monitor
end_if

end_monitor

EDIT: Sorry, should explain. Yes, the AI needs Polybian. But at 6% per turn after it gets it and has 20+ territories it can sometimes be a very short stay in the Polybians for the AI (I believe mine had a 1 turn Poybian Era in one campaign).

Thanks for the explanation. Here, have a balloon for that: :balloon2:

Their problem in my Epeiros campaign is, that they are unable to get Polybian reforms since I own most of Italy. :beam:

Then no Marians for you :whip:. I'm sure you won't weep too much.

Well I kind of hoped I would enjoy some fighting against AI legionaires, since the Romani can muster only a few Roman maniples with mostly Gallic levies and auxillaries. Quite realistic army composition actually, considering their position...
Well they are a grateful buffer state anyways.

Ok. Strangely enough, the AI Romani got Polybian Reforms. At least they got the according reform markers spawned in their cities Segesta, Patavium and a few other. :inquisitive:
