The sound of crashing swords and shattering shields could be heard up and down the narrow river that stood as a last defense towards recently captured Massalia. Lucius Corneilus Scipio, 'The Great Scipio' as he was called and his legion were all that stood in the way of the Gallic horde bent on rape and pillage. The Gauls crossed the bridge in great numbers, and immediately the auxiliaries moved to stem their advance.

"Sir?" asked the Primus Pilus, Marcus the Centurion to his Legatus, Scipio "Shall we commit the Hastati?"

"No," he replied. "We seem to have them by the balls already."

Wow that is the most terrible sight I have ever seen. Had you had some catapults my eyes may have exploded!

Bizarre (and great caption there, Ravenic!)

...I hope this doesn't lead to a "Phallus of Epirus" slapping (sorry) about the Romans and Macedonians.

Based on multiple requests I'm going to go and submit it, though I don't think I'll win since it falls outside the 'traditional' big battle with no banners, no green arrows, etc. But maybe I can get another few laughs out of it at least :)

Well if you're really interested what happend was that the Auxilaries (Noricum Spearman and Alpine Phalanx) were pulled back after...around 75% casualties (they later recovered to 120 men each after the battle through healing). At that point though I had Hastati in position, and let a second bulge form on my side of the bridge before I pelted it with pilum and charge from three sides, largely collapsing it, but eventually I had to pull the Hastati back and go to the Principe's, which routed the remainder of the enemy forces and slaughtered the lion's share of them on the bridge, only some 30 or so out of 4,000 were able to escape Roman retribution.

Well, I see that you've sent the Alpiners to die. You monster!

Also, this is indeed the most disturbing thing I have ever seen in the game
