Hello
I was making my own region in Italy called Neapolis
The region name was Neapolita.
However everytime I click to start a campaign it goes back to the single player menu.
And thanks to show_err it gives me this odd error....

Have you only modified descr_strat.txt?
There's not a lot of detail there, but did you put your region name in text/<<Campaign/Map>>regions_and_settlement_names.txt, descr_regions_and_settlement_name_lookup.txt, and descr_regions.txt (the latter two are either split between the BASE folder and the Imperial_campaign folder, or together in a provincial campaign folder) as well as descr_strat.txt?
If you miss one of those files, you'll get an error - maybe not the same error as you pictured, but an error nonetheless.
Also check carefully for misspellings: when faced with a "wall of text," sometimes slightly misspelled or alternately-spelled words appear identical.

I changed all the files you supposed too.

OK.
What is line 831 of your descr_strat?
you need to add the region and/or city to xxxxxxxxxxx_regions_and_settlement_names.txt file in the text folder where xxxxxxxxx is the version you are running eg imperial_campaign or barbarian_invasion

or Provisional Campaign map/folder.

Its not provincial campaign I'm using the Imperial campaign and I'm using RTW not BI
Whats the Stringtable?
Line 831 is the word Nepolita
that's the region name

the 'stringtable' doesn't exist as an entity - its something the game tries to compile when it reads the other files..
as the others were trying to say in your case it probably means you haven't got the right entry for it
in 'imperial_campaign_regions_and_settlement_names.txt' in the data/text folder

No the problem is defiantly the Decr_regions file,
It keeps on telling me it can't find the region name in the file and I've wrote it down on there.
It says
Cannot find region name 'Nepolita' in stringtable
Check descr_regions again for any extra space characters after the region's last letter.
Did you delete map.rwm? This is one step I have a nasty habit of forgetting to do.
I just noticed something. You said that the region name is Nepolita. But the screenshot in the OP says it is Neapolita. I do not know if you just made a typo in the forum. But you may want to go back and double-check your spelling in all of the game files. I suggest copying the name from one file and pasting it into every other file. That is how I avoid typos when I work on regions.

Oh its a typo. I'll have to change that, the file problem is definably the Decr_regions.txt file,
But I can't see whats wrong!:bigcry:

Check the spelling of your descr_regions file , if it's not decr_regions or such . Check this with all files , and double check RGB , names , ... I had this to , my problem was that the word "-copy" was behind descr_regions , so it looked like this :
"descr_regions.txt -copy"
Check spelling of all files , regions and RGB color :) This should do it ;)

Errm, ahh
I don't know if the RGB value is correct, I scribbled down some numbers on my paper while modding,
They where numbers I saw at the bottom of the screen.

I've seen this recently, and I'm trying to remember what I did to fix it. I think the error was in one of the two files mentioned in the first reply.

that isn't really telling you the error is in descr_regions.txt
it is telling you that you have put a word in descr_regions.txt that it doesn't understand.
the reason it doesn't understand the word is because you haven't put the right entry for it in
data/text/imperial_campaign_regions_and_settlement_names.txt
if you have
Neapolita
at line 831 in descr_regions, you should have added
{Neapolita} Neapolita
to imperial_campaign_regions_and_settlement_names.txt.... (or equivalent file if you were using a different campaign folder)
it's the bit in red that has to match exactly what you've written in descr_regions
(if you do have that and its the last line of the file make sure you have a blank line below it)

OH!

New problem
https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=85902
Symptom: KTM's with message on exit: 'Script error in .../descr_strat.txt, at line xxx, column x. could not create settlement at script line xxx
* Mis-match between colour on map_regions.tga and colour listed in descr_regions.txt for affected settlement.
* Using identical colour for two different regions.
