As long as it's an Intel-based Mac, yes. You will need this software (http://www.apple.com/macosx/features/bootcamp.html) and a valid copy of Windows XP.

I'm fairly certain someone told me that the WINE program - http://wiki.winehq.org/
Runs steam well on Macs, although I cannot confirm this.
