CTDs? Usually, demos use an older code, so it'll probably be fixed. What are your specs?

Reminds me of this person who bought one of these £200 computers and thought they could play all the latest games on top specification because the Computer was "Brand New".

I know what he means.

I have only been able to load the land battle twice!

It played very smoothly and I have no other real hitch except and occasional jittery intro.

In fact the land battle completes loading but never move beyond the load screen. I have not been able to trick it into moving beyond the load screen either.
You hear the battle in background and can select units group and move…just not see the field. Like I said all you see is the loading screen.

I don’t know the cause of the problem or the fix…nor why it worked twice but no more.

It seems to have nothing to do with settings. I know my system is robust enough to handle the game and does the naval battle without a hitch every time.

If some one has found a way around this I would like to know.

According to people who play with an unpacked demo, the games runs smoothly and the loading times where reduced. Wait and see until the real thing comes out.

that is exactly what happens with me, i never tried to load the sea battles however, i'll give that a try and if it works i might do a naked lap of honour up and down my street

Edit: did you try and load the battle tutorials?

What are the steps to unpacking the demo? Do you have a link?

I'd be interested in testing this some.
