Um, I was told to post in here to ask about becoming a member. Apparently it gives me the ability to edit posts and vote in polls. This would really help in the RP BtSH as that is what it mainly involves. Thanks. :dizzy2::smash::egypt:

Becoming a member normally takes a week or two, it's achieved by a show of general interest in the TW series as well as being helpful in various area of the .org.

If you're involved in the BtSH game, PM TinCow and tell him your situation.

OK, I will. I knew what it took to be a member but I was wondering if I could just be granted them options to help me become more involved. No problems though.

Junior Members can also search most of the main forums: see the advanced search (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/search.php) page for more details. You can check you posting privileges for any given forum by checking the Posting Rules box, usually at the top left corner of your screen.

Promotion to Member sets all posting permissions to Yes, with some notable exceptions: Guides, Library, and repository forums and the Ludus Magna forum. In these forums, new threads can only be posted by members of Staff. Please contact the Moderator(s) of these forums if you wish to start a thread.

Junior Members are also restricted from certain UserCP options, e.g. the Custom User Titles, and profile pictures. (See relevant section on the UserCP below.)

Promotion to Member
Promotion to Member is based on participation, conduct and contributions in your posts. Quantity of posts doesn't matter - you could be promoted on the basis of one amazing post, although just showing the ability to interact with the membership in a helpful and polite manner is easily sufficient. In other words, you don't need to do something special, just enjoy yourself whilst following the Forum Rules above. Introducing yourself (if you have not already done so) in the HAIL New Members! (Introductions) III (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=57672) thread doesn't hurt either! ~:)

Promotions are handled manually by the Guild Staff, and are generally done en masse. So as a very quick rule of thumb: if you've been here for a couple of weeks and been posting reasonably regularly during that time, you should be promoted to Member.

In any case, the staff will always try to help you if they can. If you feel perhaps that you've been mistakenly overlooked (as does happen on occasion), your best bet is to either PM TosaInu (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/private.php?do=newpm&u=6381) or Ser Clegane (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/private.php?do=newpm&u=5532) and explain your situation.

~:)

I might have to smarten my act a little to be a member.

So time to put on some good behaviour. :egypt:

Admittedly, I went straight for the Empire section, though I have only lurked briefly on Rome: Total War in the past, just to see the modifications.

When one of the moderators said that members can edit, shamefully, I make a number of mistakes so this ability leaves me a little embarrassed, so have to keep triple reading my posts before I send the final thing off, just to find I said "does" when I meant "does not". :D

I took a nosey here, and slightly hijacked the thread by the looks of it. Thank you for the welcomes, TosuInu and bamff.

and like then, the shamefully jumped in the middle of the sentence of what was originally "When one of the moderators said that members can edit, I took a nosey here, and slightly hijacked the thread by the looks of it. Thank you for the welcomes, TosuInu and bamff."

I am cursed.

No worries, I'm sure you will get your promotion soon. Apparently your full membership usually takes less than a week so your right on track, and I can see by your post count that you get involved.

I would like some of that. :beam: Can I have membership?

Speaking of which, at some point I wouldn't necessarily mind Senior Membership...

But that's no rush. More important is a bigger PM inbox. Maybe the ability to delete the posts of people I don't like, too.

Cut the posting by half, then by 10, then by completely, and then MAYBE.

Cut the posting by half, then by 10, then by completely, and then MAYBE.

If my math is correct, even without the third step, you'd expect me to have 1/20th the amount of posts as I do now. Seeing as you only have a half a year or so seniority over me, that's a standard of posting you don't hold yourself to...

:clown: of course.

Well ATPG, I was very active in mafia much earlier than you, but no where near the amount of posts you had. My normal ranking was around 5th most posts, but then again, Sasaki & Ichigo played a lot more then.

I was also defending CA at the launch of M2TW. Then I was in KotR, then posting about ETW and then I was in LotR.

Plus many other areas. :grin2:

I've also had a three month absence, which during, I was promoted to a Senior Member...

I still disagree with that promotion.

Personally I like the secret stash of err... errr... :shifty: I'm not sure what the inbox size difference is though.

1 for Junior Members, 100 for normal members, 500 for AM/Senior Members/Clan/Mod Moderators, 1000 for Moderators and I guess a MILLION for Tosa and Sir.
